Any of you that have even glanced at my site, read a blog, or have ever talked to me for more than 10 minutes know my thoughts on eating meat. I personally find that I feel much better on a regular basis and feel more intuitive when I avoid meat (especially red meats).
However, there are many different types of people in the world in many different climates and situations. The raw vegan and Mucusless diets aren't always the most practical for everyone in some cases.
Discussion with some people about their choice on meat can be very touchy. Some people hold onto their traditions and comforts very tightly, and others can be overly pushy with their feelings on how food should be produced. All in all it would be nice to have a open discussion and meet on level ground to learn from all sides of this issue. We all have had plenty of eating experience in this life and could be considered experts on it.
I encourage you to come to my talk this coming Monday at Good Earth Natural Foods in Broad Ripple at 7:30pm. I'll give a brief overview weighing the pros and cons of being a meat eater, a vegetarian, and a vegan. Then I'll open it up for about 30 minutes of open discussion. Surely we can all go home inspired and educated.
If you can't make please at least check out this video on Netflix or go to their website, especially if you consider yourself an environmentalist. You make a huge impact everyday on your health, the global environment, and everyone around you. Don't you prefer that it be a positive impact?
So don't be a "chicken"! Wrangle up the time and motivation to "meat" us on Monday at 7:30 for this "beefed" up class and discussion.
